Cheerleading: how it is set up and scored.
Competitive cheerleading is performed by a team on a sprung or matted floor, with each team presenting one timed routine of stunts, tumbling, jumps and dance. Entries are placed in divisions by age, team size and skill level. A panel of judges scores the routine against the division scoresheet, deductions are taken for falls and faults, and placings follow the final score. ICU Sport of Cheer rules apply, with SportCheer England as the domestic body.
