Equestrian: how it is set up and scored.
Equestrian sport is contested by a rider and horse together. In jumping, a course of fences is ridden in an arena over one or two rounds, with four faults for each fence knocked down and faults for exceeding the time allowed, so the cleanest and fastest round wins. In dressage a set test is ridden in a 60 by 20 metre arena and each judge scores every movement out of ten, with the result given as a percentage. FEI rules apply, administered in Britain by British Equestrian.
