Golf: how it is set up and scored.
Golf is an individual sport played over a course of 18 holes, each with a par of three, four or five strokes. A round is 18 holes, and stroke-play competitions are usually decided over several rounds by the lowest total number of strokes. In match play the result is counted in holes won rather than strokes. The R&A and USGA Rules of Golf apply, administered in England by England Golf.
