Handball formations and positions.
Handball is played seven a side, six court players and a goalkeeper, on an indoor court of 40 by 20 metres. A match is two halves of 30 minutes with rolling substitutions. A goal is scored when the whole ball crosses the goal line into the net, and only the goalkeeper may stand inside the six metre goal area. IHF Rules of the Game apply, administered in England by England Handball.
