Hurling formations and positions.
Hurling is played fifteen a side with a wooden hurley and a small ball on a GAA pitch of about 145 by 90 metres. A match is two halves of 35 minutes at senior inter-county level and 30 minutes in other grades. A goal under the crossbar is worth three points and a shot over the bar is worth one, with the score recorded as goals and points. The GAA Official Guide playing rules apply.
