Rugby league formations and positions.

Rugby league is played thirteen a side on a pitch 68 metres wide with 100 metres between the try lines and an in-goal area at each end. A match is two halves of 40 minutes. A try is worth four points, a conversion or penalty goal two and a drop goal one, and possession changes hands after six tackles. The IRL International Laws of the Game apply, administered in England by the RFL.

Positions: Fullback (FB), Right Wing (RW), Right Centre (RC), Left Centre (LC), Left Wing (LW), Stand-off (Five-eighth) (SO), Scrum-half (SH), Left Prop (LP), Hooker (HK), Right Prop (RP), Left Second Row (LSR), Right Second Row (RSR), Loose Forward (Lock) (LF).
