Tennis: how it is set up and scored.
Tennis is played one against one or in doubles on a court of 23.77 by 10.97 metres, the singles court being narrower at the sides. A match is the best of three sets, or five in some men's events, a set being won by the first to six games with a two game lead or a tie-break at six all. Points in a game run love, 15, 30, 40, game, with deuce and advantage when level at 40. The ITF Rules of Tennis apply, administered in Britain by the LTA.
